CAS Project- Investing A-Term
This will be the last blog concerning my CAS Project, which was creating an A-Term for my school to teach students about the world of investing. I co-planned this course with my classmate, Clark, and we planned on teaching this course in late March to early May. However, due to COVID-19, all courses had to be canceled. Sadly, we were unable to teach our course this year, but we might offer it again next year. It was sad to see all of our work and planning not materialize into a real course. Luckily, we have all of the planning done so if we do end up wanting to offer it next year, it would be much less stressful to put together. Even though I didn’t get to run the course, I still learned a lot and improved my planning and communication skills. It was an incredible experience to work with all of the people I did and to spend hours putting together this course to try to make it as exciting and informative as I can. This experience is best represented by learning outcome 5 because I gained so much knowledge and skill from working collaboratively with my partner, the teachers, the students, and experts in the field. All of us worked our hardest to make this a reality and while we weren’t able to teach it this year, there is always next year.
