Exercising Outside
Starting in Spring Break, I started consistently working out again and I have worked out every day so far. I try my best to do all of my workouts outside to get sun and just be outdoors. I had gone through a long period where I was not working out and I was overwhelmed with work and life. I finally decided that working out was going to help me feel better and help me be more productive. The hardest part was getting up and getting outside and starting to workout. At first, I was discouraged, I couldn’t do the same exercises as I used to be able to and I got tired very quickly. The next few days I worked out and the same thing happened, and to add to that, I was incredibly sore and some days I wanted to stop. However, I had a goal in mind and I had to keep pushing because I knew I would be proud of myself if I kept going. Cardio workouts had always been difficult for me but after several days I noticed that my cardio workouts were getting easier and I was able to do more cardio. My stamina and strength were improving and that really motivated me to continue and work even harder. There were a lot of times when I wanted to cut the workout short but I kept pushing and I did the whole thing even if it took me longer and if I had to take more breaks. This ongoing experience reflects learning outcome 2 because I undertook the challenge of working out everyday and working on cardio, through this, I developed my skill of pushing and not giving up, I got better at working out and now have better form in my exercises. I also developed skills in cardio exercises. Working out has definitely improved my everyday life and mood and I’m more than happy that I undertook this challenge.
