Viewing the Senior Art Exhibition
Last week I attended the Senior Art Exhibition and spent about an hour viewing and analyzing the artwork. This was a great experience; it was an art exhibition put on by the seniors at our school where each artist had a theme for their art. My goal when I went to the art exhibition was to analyze creatively and discover the message of the works and consider the mindset of the artists during the making of their works. This was a challenge to me because sometimes I can be impatient and only think one way which is the way I would normally think, but for this I wanted to view the art from different perspectives. I used this opportunity to creativity view and analyze the art from different perspectives. At first, I kept having to remind myself to consciously do it, but as time passed and the hour went by, I noticed I didn’t have to remind myself constantly of creatively viewing the art. Since then, I have continued to work on creativity receiving information and other things. This experience reflects learning outcome 2 because I demonstrated a challenge that I undertook which resulted in developing new skills in the process. I enjoyed the exhibit much more than I would have if I had not undertaken the challenge and since then, my experience with art and other things have been much more pleasant.
