CAS Project- Investing A-Term

For a while now, Clark and I have been working on our Investing A-term course. We had to create an outline of the course details and create a proposal for our course. It took a lot of time to plan out the detailed topics we wanted to cover and all the other activities we would do. We submitted the proposal and we made the cut! Our Investing A-term will be happening in the Spring and we are both excited and nervous. Planning an A-term is very challenging and a lot of work. Right now we are in the planning stage where we are trying to work on a solid itinerary and contact experts to speak at the course. This project is especially challenging since it is long-term and we have a lot of other work going on. It requires us to set internal deadlines and check in with ourselves to make sure we’re staying on track. Right now, We are in the midst of reaching out to our chosen experts in the field and we are revising our schedule around their availability. I’ve learned a lot through this process and have developed skills in planning, creating formal invitations/emails, and working collaboratively. This achieves learning outcome 2 because I undertook the challenge of creating an A-term with my classmate and along the way we have discovered a multitude of challenges that we are overcoming while developing new skills in the process. We still have a long way to go but we have a plan to get it done and it will be a great success!
