CAS Project- Investing A-Term

Over the winter break, my A-Term partner and I did a lot of planning for the A-Term in terms of figuring out which experts we want to have come. I worked hard to find experts that I already have old connections with that I can ask to come and speak. I also have to work creatively to plan out the itinerary which takes a lot of time and attention to detail as well as trying to figure out what would be most beneficial to the students of the course. While creating the plan and searching for experts I came across a neighbor whom is independently wealthy and investing in start-ups. I then set up a time for us to meet to see if he would be an expert I would like to bring to the course. He and I met over the break and we talked about the creation of the A-Term and what it would entail along with his background information. I thought this meeting was a creative way for me to get to know him better and for him to get to know what he would be getting into. I consider this to be connected with learning outcome 3 because I initiated us meeting and planned out a time that would work for all parties, and though there were some complications, we successfully met at a cafe.
