Krav Maga
Today, I went to my Krav Maga class- a self-defense class that uses Israel military techniques and a combination of martial arts. I’ve been attending classes since the summer and have continued to show progress in learning new skills and improving my physical exercise abilities. One thing I struggle with is endurance and executing all of the motions of a move at the same time. This is something I am continually working on as I do my best to attend the one hour classes at least once a week, if not more. So far, my strengths in Krav Maga are following instructions, being physically fit, and my passion to learn and master the moves and techniques. Every class, instructions on what to do and how are very important and it is vital that these instructions are followed so no one gets injured. I had this skill when I first started this class but I’ve definitely developed this skill further. After attending multiple Krav Maga classes, I have become more physically in shape and have gotten stronger. Krav Maga has also helped to build my confidence in my ability to defend myself and confidence in what I am doing. This follows learning outcome one because I have identified my strengths and areas that I could further develop. In a later reflection, I will touch on this subject and reflect on my progress in the underdeveloped areas.
